Your Role

This role exists to provide support for the Contract Logistics Business for all K+N Internal Applications and management of all the applications in terms of the environments and the testing and delivery of software and functionality. The role exists to manage the delivery of IS and/or Business Process projects within Contract Logistics. Developing solutions for new business wins, enhancements, changes and continuous improvement projects using K+N’s in-house WMS systems.

Your Responsibilities

  • Agree tasks/activities that you are required to deliver with your line manager, Project Lead or other managers involved in projects that you may form part of.
  • Manage and plan your work load to ensure that tasks and activities assigned to you are delivered at the agreed time, within the agreed scope and budget and to the required standard.
  • Support, configure, implement and maintain K+N Applications as well as peripheral technology requirements.
  • Support the Solution Architects with WMS Solution design and detailed technical WMS configuration to accommodate for the unique system requirements of the business, customer etc.
  • The ability to re-use existing solution designs and creation of blueprinting templates to fast track customers onto Swift-log.
  • Create innovative solutions to accommodate for systemic requirements and enhance existing functionality where possible, and/or write FRS Specification and complete through design, testing, and deployment.
  • Demonstrate a good level of how a project life cycle operates, familiar with project structures and governance with regards to WMS deliveries.
  • Identify; recommend FRS / CC to support new business requirements, existing operational enhancements or post project identified functionality gaps.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Minimum 1-2 years' experience of configuration on BY Discreet
  • Experience in issue resolution on a WMS
  • Good knowledge of warehouse logistics, ideally experience working in a warehouse (picking/packing etc.)
  • Experience and good knowledge in EDI messages & logical mapping for interfaces
  • Good knowledge of SQL which is demonstratable.
  • Experience in capturing/translating business requirements into a solution (desirable) and producing process flows.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact at all stakeholder levels (senior managers/warehouse operatives/support teams/suppliers/customers)
  • Able to lead workstreams, provide updates, work to a plan and track effort.
  • Experience/able to deliver WMS training to colleagues and warehouse operatives
  • Experience in supporting implementation go lives
