Job description
Quick is subsidiary of Kuehne + Nagel and we’re looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor for our client site in Colnbrook, near Heathrow.
Your Role
You will play a pivotal role in supporting the Warehouse Manager in assisting with daily operations, overseeing team performance and ensuring the smooth functioning of the warehouse.Your Responsibilities
- Encourage Team-Work, cooperation and a good working atmosphere within the department
- Assist the Manager in administering all appropriate disciplinary procedures
- Supporting the Warehouse manager with the monitoring of temperature controlled areas
- Assist the Manager in ensuring that there is adequate staffing & cover for holidays & sickness
- Delegate some or all tasks, administrative or operational, as appropriate within the department.
- Carry out Team training using internal SOPS
- Maintaining a high level of communication and leadership with the night shift
- To work collaboratively with all internal departments to ensure maximum client satisfaction
Your Skills and Experiences
- Comprehensive understanding of Courier / Freight Operations including Import / Export / Warehouse & Transport.
- Teamwork skills and strong self-motivation
- Good numeric / financial ability
- Ability to work successfully under pressure
- Management skills
- Good computer skills, Word / Excel / PowerPoint essential
- Knowledge of health and safety at work
