Your Role

In this role, you will lead a team and have general responsibility for coordinating daily warehouse activities to ensure the full and efficient operation of your assigned area under guidance of Operations Manager. Your typical shift will be Monday- Friday, 6.30am - 4.00pm

Your Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies to ensure the highest quality of work, optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity, and meet or exceed KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) 
  • Analyze production systems for efficiency and cost reduction
  • Demonstrate teamwork within warehouse and ensure that staff is treated professionally, respectfully and courteously
  • Facilitate implementation of changes within the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide timely feedback to team members 
  • Coordinate with QSHE to aid in training, conduct accidental investigations.
  • Ensure safe operations and healthy environments for employees, customers, vendors, and visitors 
  • Ensure that the work schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.
  • Review and process paid time off requests in a fair, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Manage labor hours in accordance with local, state, and federal labor laws as well as Kuehne+Nagel Policy.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and follows OSHA, MSDS, and Kuehne+Nagel QSHE standards.
  • Ensure the optimal utilization of space through warehouse consolidation.
  • Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 3+ years of experience in a warehouse environment  
  • 1+ years in a supervisory role 
  • Experience with shipping, receiving and inventory control
  • Experience with personal computers and materials handling equipment
  • Experience with a Warehouse Management System.
