Job Description
Kuehne + Nagel conduct logistics services on behalf of the customer Whitbread, ensuring the safe delivery of chilled, frozen and ambient products to more than 2,500 Costa Coffee, Premier Inns and associated restaurant chain outlets throughout the UK. The Whitbread contract is predicted growth forecast of over 10% year on year. Our specialist team continue to grow, develop and deliver the customers' requirements on this demanding and dynamic contract
The Warehouse Operative is part of the Warehouse management team and is responsible for completing daily warehouse activities in order to meet the needs of the business, and contractual Key Performance Indicators ensuring compliance with HACCP and NSF food safety guidelines.
We are recruiting the following shift patterns: 06:00-14:30, 14:00-22:30, and 22:00-06:30, on average 4.7 days per week so successful candidate must be able to work one of those shift patterns.
Your tasks and responsibilities
· Accurate and safe order picking of products
· Performance standards achieved (pick rate)Stock-rotation to ensure products remain within their code life tolerance
· Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping, Operate warehouse MHE Fleet (Mechanical Handling Equipment)
· Load and unload of vehicles and completion of temperature checks where applicable
· Work independently and as part of a team within a multi temperature environment. (Ambient, Chilled and Frozen)
· Comply with all company policies and procedures, Such other tasks as you may be reasonably required to complete, including supporting other areas and departments
· Promote and maintain a positive image of Kuehne+Nagel and the Whitbread Brands
· Comply with agreed procedures to ensure a safe and legal working environment and consistent quality standards
· Comply with Food Safety Regulations and NSF standards
· Ensure all company equipment is maintained, utilised and returned as required within operational processes to the operations office
· Professional conduct is demonstrated
· Follow the company processes and adhere to legal compliance and escalate any areas outside these procedures to the line manager
Your skills and experience
· Basic Standard in English and Maths
· Experience in warehousing
· Excellent communication skills
· Able to use initiative,organise own workload
· Team Worker
· Knowledge of warehouse management systems
· Reliable, Flexible, Punctual
· Excellent attendance levels
· Experience of hitting pick targets
· Great accuracy
