Your Role
Kuehne + Nagel are seeking to appoint a Transport Supervisor to work within a small but dedicated team at Bicester. You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining a high standard of service, resolving transportation issues and implementing cost effective strategies.Your Responsibilities
- Effective control of up to 25 employees, up to 60 assets and perform fleet related activities set out by the Transport manager
- Promote effective, positive communication with colleagues, other supervisors, managers, internal and external customer to ensure agreed service level achieved
- Ensure all health and safety obligations are met providing a legal and safe working environment that consistently exceeds quality standards
- Provide daily, weekly & monthly information and reports in line with management and company requirements
- Actively support the Transport Manager in continuous improvement projects and tactical improvements to improve efficiency within the operation
- Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the fleet including Defecting of vehicles, Servicing, Fleet inspections, MOT
- Performing regular Audits on Fleet Records ensuring they are all up to date and in order.
- Ensure the effective control of first day inductions, driver training & driving assessment, including agency staff.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Full UK Drivers Licence (Essential).
- Proven Transport knowledge and experience. Working knowledge of Transport legislation.
- Proven record in Fleet Compliance in maintenance, MOTs Servicing and breakdowns
- Competent Numerate with good attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate staff to achieve results
- Competent Microsoft Office user including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- LGV Driving Licence (C+E) (desirable but no essential)
