We are searching for a Training Supervisor to design specific learning programs to improve the skills and productivity of our warehouse employees. Your Role
You will have an integral role in new hire orientation to ensure employees have a smooth onboarding process and transition with Kuehne+Nagel. You will assess ongoing employee training needs, manage internal training programs, and monitor assigned trainers/trainees. Your typical shift will be Monday – Wednesday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Thursday – Friday from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm to ensure appropriate training coverage on two shifts.Your Responsibilities
- You will regularly conduct a skill gap analysis to understand employee training needs
- Create training programs for employees in different departments
- Maintain a database and record of training
- Ensure existing employees receive annual refresher training and applicable training when changing roles or adding responsibilities
- Conduct research and partner with subject matter experts as needed
- Audit existing teaching materials, work instructions, and course aids and update them as required
- Oversee the preparation of new teaching materials, SOPs, and curriculums
- Assign trainers to specific tasks, provide them with the necessary training, and supervise their activities to ensure flawless implementation of learning initiatives
- Define performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs; prepare reports for senior management
Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or equivalent related education or work experience
- 3+ years of experience in a training role
- 3+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Knowledge of adult learning styles, different training methods, and learning theories
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) is a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
