Job description

We are looking for a Systems Team Clerk to join our dynamic and fast paced team at Reading and provide best in class customer solutions for our Waitrose contract.

Your Role

The Waitrose Contract is a dynamic, pressurised 24/7 environment providing superior value by having the right stock in the right place at the right time delivered with pride at the right cost. The purpose of the role is to carry out the clerical functions of the warehouse. The successful candidate will operate the computerized elements of the warehouse operational systems and to ensure the completion of all tasks to the set schedule and company standard. The position is any 5 of 7 rotating 0600 – 1400.

Your Responsibilities

·  Carrying out daily clerical tasks/assignments directed by a Team Leader or Co-ordinator according to the procedures and to the required company standards measured by regular 1-2-1 meetings with supervisor.
·  Assisting warehouse/distribution functions by operating warehouse computerised system, being flexible in supporting any changes to operational procedures with a minimum amount of time and disruption to the business.
·  Receipting of inbound deliveries from our customers/suppliers onto the WMS to ensure stock availability for our customer store orders. Verify and sign proof of delivery documents to ensure inbound deliveries are correct for invoicing purposes.
·  Report non-conformance paperwork to their supervisor to ensure suppliers adhere to the delivery standards agreed by our customer.
·  Releasing and prioritising store orders onto the Red Prairie, warehouse management system,  to allow store orders fulfilment.
·  Out bound - Emailing sign off paperwork and manifests to specific stores

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Proven skills in Math and English at Secondary School level
·  Customer service experience, previous warehouse experience
·  Customer focused, ability to adapt to change and learn new skills and techniques, high level of communication
·  PC literate
·  Ability to work on own initiative, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, flexibility
