Your Role

We are looking for a passionate Customer Care Specialist employee to support our Sea Logistics team in Rotterdam. In this versatile role you are an important link between customer, outside sales and operational departments when it comes to commercial, customer service and administrative activities. We expect you to have some knowledge regarding seafreight logistics activities and procedures.

Your Responsibilities

  • You take over day-to-day interactions with existing customers allocated to you.
  • You qualify and manage the customer orders which needs to be executed by the Operational Care Centre (booking) Team into the operational systems.
  • You proactively engage with internal teams to work together to manage existing customers in your portfolio.
  • You manage the export documentation process and have daily contact with Operational Care Centre team (documentation) for timely and correctness follow up.
  • You oversee and manage the onboarding process of new customers in collaboration with outside sales and operations.
  • You offer proactive advice and consultancy, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • You monitor internal data and customer indicators / KPI in accordance with customer expectations, action plans, offer solutions and continuous improvement.
  • You ensure that administrative processes are efficient, under control, and successful. Your flexibility and problem-solving attitude are great contributors to the positive outcome.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • You have relevant work experience in sea freight and/or customer service.
  • You are a team player but also know how to work independently.
  • You are organizationally strong, can set priorities, and distinguish main issues from side issues.
  • You have a customer- and service-oriented attitude.
  • You prefer to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and are able to prioritize and shift gears quickly.
  • You have an excellent command of the English language; Dutch is an advantage.
  • You are available for 40 hours a week.
