Your Role

In the role of Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, you will be in charge of the entire test automation process. The objective of your role is to reduce the load on co-workers and to improve efficiency and reliability by streamlining and automating manual processes that are redundant, inconsistent, and time-consuming. You will not be isolated in this work area and are part of the full software development cycle and design, implement, and deliver the application in collaboration with your team members, customers, stakeholders, and users.

Your Responsibilities

  • Finding places within the team’s software development process where automation could be executed.
  • Designing and executing QA tests with scripts that test functionality periodically without the need for human intervention.
  • Performing tests on all parts of the product’s infrastructure.
  • Locating bugs and identifying quality issues within our software products.
  • Installing the necessary tools and frameworks that make better automation possible.
  • Working with other departments and teams, including non-technical team members to understand how automation can improve their processes and identify areas of improvement.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • 3+ years of working experience in Software Testing with focus on automated testing.
  • Good knowledge of Software Testing and Quality Assurance Principles (Integration-, Acceptance-, Regression Testing etc.)
  • Solid know-how in software development (Java development, build, deployment, unit testing, continuous delivery and continuous integration).
  • Experience in API testing with tools like Postman, REST-assured, JMeter
  • Skills in automation frameworks (for UI/E2E) such as Cypress and Selenium
  • Capability to create executable specifications with tools like Cucumber and Gherkin syntax.
  • Open to agile development methods such as TDD, BDD and XP.
