We have an exciting opportunity for a PROM Projects Coordinator to join our team in Muscat, Oman. Working in a dynamic global environment and reporting to the PROM Manager, the Projects Coordinator will be coordinating all projects with a strong focus on supporting the PROM team in Muscat and UAE to set the structure within Oman. He will be the interface between Client, KN Oman PROM team and other Business Unit, Ports, Airports, Government Entities in Oman, vendors and the Regional team MEA.



Your tasks and responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this role are:
- The Project Coordinator has the primary responsibility for ensuring a safe and efficient execution of projects.
- He will manage Vendors /Transporters/Port/ Govt. Entities/Police and ensure that each designated function supplies the scope and range of contracted services in accordance with QHSE best practices and in full compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- He will be responsible for all commercial and contractual issues as related to Operations and payments.
- He will implement process and procedures to monitor the quality of service supply and will address with immediate remedial actions any and all instances of non-compliance with project requirements.
- He will liaise with the designated local representatives of the Client and will attend both scheduled and ad-hoc meetings as necessary. Responsible for operational contractual issues that are to be discussed with the project.
- He will be responsible for the Strategic planning of methodology to deliver services, including management of suppliers.
- Maintain on-going knowledge of procedural and/or regulatory changes as well as information published on the company's intranets, and ensure distribution of information vital to the operations of the department/team.
- Establish and manage Performance KPI's and data quality compliance, including routine reviews, conducting a root cause analysis when results are subpar, and implementing corrective measure.
- Proactively working with the customer, operational parties, and management when issues arise to execute a plan of action, and sub-sequential follow up to confirm issues have been resolved.
- Develop and maintain customer SOPs, as well as training staff and vendors on the requirements within the SO.
- Ensures the production of monthly, quarterly, and other ad-hoc reports as required by the assigned customers or KN Management.
- Establish a relationship with assigned customers including phone calls, face-to-face regular site visits, and QBRs.
- Travels both international and domestically as needed.
- Additional responsibilities may be given in accordance with supporting a specific department/division and/or employee may be tasked with specific, individualized assignments .

Your skills and experience

·  Educated to degree standard or equivalent experience
·  Minimum 2 years' experience in general Forwarding/Logistics sector
·  Experience in Projects, Oil & Gas related Forwarding will be a plus
·  Basic experience in all transport modes (road, sea, air) including procedures, documentation, quotations, KPI's etc.
·  Some working knowledge of out of gauge and heavy lift cargo movement
·  Some working knowledge about Customs Rule / Port Operations/Air Port Operations
·  Strong verbal and written communication skills (Arabic is a plus)
·  Self-discipline and able to work under pressure
·  Thrives in a fast paced environment
·  Enjoys working independently within a team framework
·  Energetic and organized
·  Able to work flexibly and overtime (weekends, nights and after hours might be required)
·  Strong and competent team player in a multicultural environment
·  Ability to provide clear direction to support staff & Vendors
·  Ability to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts on an internal and external level
·  Organized / structured
·  PC literate with more focus on Excel
