Product Owner / Product Lead for Enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) (m/f/d)

Join Kühne + Nagel as Product Lead to shape the future of our enterprise data management processes by leading our Master Data Management Product Team in Hamburg. You will be part of the integration and migration of our new MDM system to connect global business data.

Your Role

Master data fuels mission-critical operations, analytical processes and customer experience. Only with clearly assigned data ownership and enterprise data management processes can business teams rely on accurate and consistent data that meets stated business rules and requirements. As the MDM Product Owner you will lead our Master Data Management Product Team located in Hamburg, Germany, in finishing the migration to TIBCO EBX as the new MDM system, integrating new business data from different sources, connecting more applications and shape the future vision of Master Data Management at Kühne + Nagel.

Your Responsibilities

·  Lead the MDM agile development and support team of 8 team members
·  Manage product development including the definition, creation, development and implementation via a prioritized backlog and acceptance criteria of product features.
·  Build close relationships with key stakeholders and define business strategy for the MDM IT application product vision and roadmap
·  Work closely with cross functional leadership to define the enterprise MDM data needs and technical requirements throughout the organization
·  Enhance the quality and accuracy of the enterprise MDM business data elements and prioritize existing system issues for IT based on criticality of the issues
·  Ensure dependencies are prioritized appropriately with other Product Owners across other product development teams
·  Provide guidelines and training material for data owners and data stewards

Your Skills and Experiences

·  5+ years of product management experience, team leadership experience is a plus
·  3+ years of experience in MDM or other data product for analytical and operational use cases, data modeling and/or business data analysis
·  Experienced with assisting in data management, data governance and data quality of master data to ensure data integrity across the company
·  Capability of independently analyzing data, performing error resolution and making business decisions in connection with strong understanding of how to identify data quality issues and proposing enhancements to resolve
·  Ability to work effectively across multiple internal stakeholders, especially subject matter experts and data stewards, and knowledge of agile development methodology
·  Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills; able to communicate complex messages and trade-offs and tell a compelling story to all levels of the business via written, spoken, and/or other media
·  Excellent organizational and time management skills as well as high level of written and spoken English
