Your Role
Reporting to the Director of Operations the Personal Lines Manager is a member of the leadership team. This individual should be highly motivated; detail oriented and maintains strong communication and relationship building skills.Your Responsibilities
- Lead the Head Office Personal Insurance Service Team, overseeing and supporting clients and team members throughout the entire process, from new business and endorsements to claims and renewal. Handle complex cases and escalations with expertise.
- Provide strong leadership, guidance, mentorship, and coaching to ensure the team excels in quality, performance, and professional development. Offer technical expertise to both the Personal Insurance service staff and personal lines Executives.
- Ensure fair work distribution and uphold high client service standards. Conduct regular quality assurance audits to optimize technology usage and streamline processes, contributing to an exceptional client experience.
- Actively participate in scheduled management meetings and engage in the Company's annual planning process. Provide detailed reports on the current conditions of the personal lines division, covering aspects like growth, retention, and support ratios.
- Conduct and organize product and insurer training for the broader Personal Lines division. Build and maintain credibility while working effectively with insurer partners and vendors to achieve goals, influence initiatives, and handle insurer audits.
- Implement performance management for head office staff, consistently measuring and monitoring individual goals. Provide regular reviews and feedback to support continuous improvement.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
- 6+ years recent Personal Insurance experience
- 3+ years Management/Supervisory experience
- RIBO licensed
- Completed or enrolled in CAIB/CIP/CRM an asset.
