National Key Account Manager - Industrial

Job description

We are looking for a Key Account Manager with extensive experience in the Freight Forwarding industry, to join our Sales team in Dubai, UAE.

Your Role

The purpose of the role is to develop, using all of the tools available to you, business from existing and new customers in order to reach and exceed predefined targets set by Management. Key Account Manager plays a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with a company's most important clients, and ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Your Responsibilities

  • Take direct ownership of managing and selling to all Corporate and National Key Accounts in the Industrial vertical present in the country.
  • The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for managing, developing and maintaining company's most important clients. The KAM serves, as the primary point of contact for the client, is responsible for building, and maintain a strong relationship.
  • The KAM's role includes developing and implementing account plans, creating and maintaining a strong customer database, monitoring the client's shipment status, and addressing any issues that may arise. They must be able to anticipate and respond to the client's needs and provide solutions to their problems in a timely manner.
  • The KAM must also have a thorough understanding of the client's business needs and be able to provide customized solutions to meet their specific requirements. They are responsible for negotiating contracts, pricing, and payment terms, as well as ensuring that all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • In addition to managing the client's account, the KAM must also work closely with the company's internal teams, including operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure that all client needs are met. They must be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders and provide regular updates on the status of the account.
  • Foster strong relationships with multiple points of contact to develop long-term business partnerships.
  • Communicate local customer needs throughout the organization, specifically to National, Regional and Global Key.
  • Account Managers, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with the organization to support and coordinate specific customer requirements, including RFQs, with a focus on communication and alignment with National, Regional and Global Key Account Managers.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a similar discipline.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Key Account Sales and Account Management within the freight forwarding. industry.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team, while also having the drive to generate new business and propose innovative solutions.
  • Possess excellent communication skills in English, including the ability to persuade and negotiate effectively to successfully close deals.
  • Exhibit strong leadership skills, with a focus on fostering the professional and personal development of staff members.
