Job description

Contract Logistics - Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator is accountable for maintaining excellent service levels for our internal and external customers through accurate data entry, continuous process improvement and the prompt resolution
of issues.

This successful incumbent will be based in our Mississauga facility.

Responsibilities:
• Respond to incoming calls and customer inquiries;
• Manage communication with clients and administration requirements;
• Arranges transportation schedules with Client, shunt drivers and external service providers;
• Tendering orders for transportation;
• Creates shipping documentation, bills-of lading, and modify load plans;
• Prepare all required shipping documents for domestic and international shipping;
• System loading maintenance on customer system;
• Works with carrier to manage exceptions and load modifications form process;
• Promotes safe work environment and support EHS policies;
• Manage discrepancies from loading and maintenance process on customer systems;
• Book extra transport though TMS;
• Process multi-stop rating as required;
• Provide POD's to consignees and/or customer partners as required;
• Coordinate/data input details for client KPIs around transport services;
• Pursue continuous improvement initiatives to drive increased productivity and service levels;
• Other duties as may be required.

Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma in International Business, Transportation, Logistics, Customs or a related field considered an asset;
• 1+ years in Contract Logistics/3PL;
• Ability to manage high call and business process volumes;
• Excellent communication in English (verbal and written);
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines;
• Proficient computer and keyboarding skills required (Microsoft Word and Excel);
• Knowledge of order entry systems and warehouse management systems is required.
