Your Role

As a Graphic Designer you'll be part of the UK tender team at Kuehne + Nagel, a critical part of our Sales Organisation that works across multiple departments to drive the creation of competitive commercial solutions. As a company we are a world leading logistics provider, spanning more than 100 countries with our own office network exceeding 1,400 locations. We are looking for a self-starter who has a passion for design. Using your creative flare you will be instrumental as you work with the team to create winning responses. Ideally you will have been working with the likes of Adobe In-Design / Illustrator and Photoshop (even if not in a live working environment) and will have a good understanding of the printing process.

Your Responsibilities

·  Creative Design – promote the customer perspective in every bid response through research into the customer to create strap lines / theme statements to combine with our Unique Selling Point (USP) that tells the story in the final stylistic output.
·  Assist in the collation and drafting of articulate, concise proposals, with influence on the written material to ensure key USPs are brought to life.
·  Technical Design - use your technical knowledge to create documents that appeal to readers in order to get our message across.
·  Printing Processes - understand the printing process in order to ensure the designed document reflects the capabilities of the desired print. Having a good understanding of the printing practices and be responsible for liaising with our printing partners for production of the final output.
·  Project Management skills to define and agree deliverables within the project timeline set by the external customer and ensure that all proposal responses are completed on time and comply with customer requirements. Be an integral part of the wider bid team to ensure the written elements can be reflected within the proposal design.
·  Act as an ambassador for the UK Bid Management to market the team’s services and successes through the intranet to the wider Kuehne + Nagel organisation.
·  Ensure that all proposals are in line with Kuehne + Nagel corporate branding.

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Passionate about design and the latest technological solutions.
·  Creative and self-motivated with a desire to create winning solutions.
·  Demonstrable technical capability including excellent Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint) skills, Adobe In Design and Illustrator are a must, Adobe Photoshop would be beneficial.
·  An understanding of the printing process and how that affects the design aspect is required.
·  Excellent verbal and communications skills with a superb eye for detail.
·  Able to multi task and work effectively to deadlines.
·  Ideally you will be a graduate with some experience in design, we would like you to have previous experience of working with creative software, although we don’t expect you to have worked in an office environment previously.
