Job description
We are looking for an experienced Export Airfreight Operator to join our Team! This critical role sits within the dedicated Air Logistics Operational Care team and is responsible for executing export air bookings for a wide range of clients.
Your Role
It's an exciting, fast-paced role that will keep you on your toes and provide variety in your day, dealing with exporting to different trade lanes and many commodities from meat to fruit to aircraft engines!Your Responsibilities
- Generate the required documentation in preparation for export
- Arrange bookings directly with airlines and suppliers
- Liaise with the Internal Customer Care Team and External Customers to ensure customer requirements are met
- Co-ordinate with the international warehouse team to plan the loading and dispatch of cargo
- Ensure the relevant governance & regulatory requirements are adhered to at all times.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Ability to cope with pressure, hard work and fulfil deadlines outside ‘standard hours’
- 2+ years export airfreight experience within the NZ industry
- Impeccable attention to detail
- A Customs PIN and previous DG experience is preferable but not essential
- Good attitude, team spirit and ability to collaborate with people across the business
Furthermore, your success in this role will come down to your ability to think outside the box and deliver creative solutions as well as your attention to detail and ability to thrive on juggling multiple deadlines. This is NOT an 8:30am – 5:00pm role; over time may be required during the week and will also require regular weekend work on a rostered basis.
