Job description

Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Lean/Six Sigma processes (otherwise known as KNPS or Kuehne + Nagel Production System) and continuous improvement processes. He / she trains the local teams in the KNPS philosophy and toolset to include Deep Dive Value Stream Mapping, thus ensuring the forward progress in the KNPS and Lean/Six Sigma journey. He /she is also responsible to coach local Lean/Six Sigma green belts in leading improvement projects and training the local operations and management teams. The identification and the collection of best practices, as well as the development of the KNPS and Lean Six Sigma tools complete the job of the Continuous Improvement Manager.

Your tasks and responsibilities

•Lead Kuehne+Nagel Production System (KNPS) implementations.
•Ensure local maintenance of KNPS tools after implementation.
•Facilitate and foster continuous improvement process.
•Train local teams + KNPS Experts in KNPS and Lean Six Sigma philosophy and toolset.
•Ensure forward progress in the KNPS journey.
•Coach local KNPS (Lean/Six Sigma) Black belts in leading improvement projects.
•Identify and collect best practices for further development of the KNPS tools.

Monitor and track cost savings development as well as Kuehne+Nagel client savings or service improvements (or both)

Your skills and experience

•Minimum 3 year experience as a Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent experience preferably in operations improvement.
•Proven in-depth experience in application of Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques (e.g. Statistics, Deep Dive Value Stream Mapping).
•Having good knowledge of Contract Logistics business and supply chain processes.
•Proven experience in project management with organizational and administrative background.
•Having excellent communication skills with analytical skills.
•Ability to consult with senior executives on improvement initiatives.
•Ability to work under pressure, independently and within a team .
Skills and/or Experience:
•Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality engineering and control activities, preferably in a manufacturing and / or distribution environment (3 years for MS / MBA candidates)

•Minimum of green-belt certification in lean/6-sigma is required. Black-belt certification is preferable.
