Job Description
The Business Development Executive is part of the Sales team at Kuehne & Nagel Ireland. The main purpose of the Business Development Executive is to generate new opportunities while developing existing business through consistently selling the full portfolio of Kuehne & Nagel products and services in order to achieve business targets set for Air, Sea, Road and Contract Logistics business units.
Your tasks and responsibilities
· Identify, prospect and qualify quality new business Opportunities
· Develop new and existing business opportunities
· Develop and maintain a high quality pipeline of target customers and opportunities as well as develop and maximise strong productive partnerships with key nominated high grade customers through a professional needs-based selling approach
· Promotion of our full range of products and services
· Establish and maintain effective communication links with other business units to identify and maximise all sales opportunities
· Maintain accurate records of all sales activity via CRM Tool and prepare regular forecasts and reports to ensure effective forward planning
· Providing the company and business units with market research intelligence
· Effective interface with other members of the organisation to ensure a cohesive approach towards maximising business performance
Your skills and experience
· At least 2 years proven & successful business development experience in the freight marketplace in Ireland
· Proven ability to identify and exploit new sales opportunities with potential customers
· Strong commercial awareness of business dynamics
· Full Clean Driving Licence
· Dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Outstanding administrative and organisational skills
