Your Role
Business Controller Contract Logistics performs the business controlling function Italian Contract Logistics business will have direct reporting responsibilities to the Head of business controllingYour Responsibilities
- Analyses the monthly P&L in respect of accuracy and reasons for deviations to the prior month and rolling forecast
- Perform and drive the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing for his/her area of responsibility
- Details variances analysis: Actual / Forecast / Prior Month or Year as per management request
- Reviews results with the Business Field Managers and National Controllers
- Assists Business Field Managers on day-to-day financial related issues
- Ad-hoc financial analysis/projects as per management requests
- Coordinates and assists local and Regional Management in the preparation of rolling forecast and annual target processes
- Complete all budgeting, planning & monitoring including the target setting process and P+L analysis versus rolling forecast and targets.
- Ensure active controlling activities across the cluster including business reviews of productivity and profitability, defining action plans to improve and monitor & report any current and relevant business unit and Strategic Initiatives.
- KPIs verification and deterioration (productivity, margin, etc.)
- Ensure delivery of Cost/Productivity control & claims management & Tradelane/Product Reviews in conjunction with Market Review
- Ensure development & support by identifying tools, developing reports, automation and review of processes including the education and mediation required to support business units on financial matters as well as
- Operations & Knowledge/Shared Service Centre
- Does ad hoc analysis/desktop reviews on FSL/ PL based on the request of National Finance Manager
- Supports inpreparation of business cases/investment applications and hiring request
- Coordinates internal & external audits

- Minimum: Master degree preferably in Financial Management / equivalent diploma (Chartered Accountant, etc.) or 3+ years experience in controlling area, preferably gained in freight forwarding companies
Leadership responsibility in a multi-location work environment and in direct and indirect reporting structures
