Job description

To optimize supply chain operations, our contract logistics business unit provides end-to-end warehousing and distribution solutions for our customers. This position will steer customer relationships and business expansion plans for the country or geographic area. If you possess hands on experience in the management of logistics projects, and are currently responsible for profit and loss, this might just be the career for you.

Your Role

You will provide overall leadership and direction to your team via a matrix organisation. You are tasked with achieving all financial and operational objectives while working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. In this role, you will get to grow both new and existing businesses. As well as ensuring successful customer on-boarding and driving productivity, you are tasked with grooming the future stars of contract logistics.

Your Responsibilities

  • To attract customers in line with our vertical plans + ideally our global corporate accounts. 
  • To pursue customer opportunities with competitive proposals in line with our capabilities. 
  • To close new contracts in line with our commercial policies. 
  • To on board new customers in compliance with our global process. 
  • To deliver as promised to our customers as per the agreed service levels + within our financial targets. 
  • To review our progress with our customers to ensure we continually improve + have a high retention rate. 
  • To evolve our customer relationships forming trust + deeper relationships which can enable new opportunities. 

Your Skills and Experiences

Ideally, you should have solid business management experience in contract logistics. You possess a general understanding of WMS/TMS, and are able to build strong relationships. Besides an uncanny business acumen, you are also able to effortlessly engage all stakeholders to drive win-win situations.
