We typically recruit for the following programmes:
- International Freight Forwarding: How does cargo move across seas, mountains, rainforests and continents to get from one place to another? The answer is through the work of an International Freight Forwarder! Day to day you may be responsible for a variety of tasks such as shipment bookings, creating the appropriate documents, liaison with carriers, or generating sales quotations, but you will be taught and supported to do these things by your manager, your team and the apprenticeship team at Kuehne+Nagel.
- Road Sales: Are you looking to become the next sales leader within Kuehne+Nagel? Then look no further! You will work within a successful sales team, learning everything you need to know to be a top sales performer whilst being supported by your peers, your managers, and the apprenticeship team within Kuehne+Nagel. Beyond this, there is an opportunity for successful apprentices to secure a full time position and promotion into an Account Manager role, as well as achieving bonuses and pay rises connected to the apprenticeship programme.
- Business Administration: At the heart of every successful team, there is someone who works with every member and is able to connect the dots to see how each person’s work feeds into each other’s to achieve a common goal – you could be that person. Throughout your Business Administration apprenticeship you will be supported to ensure that you fully understand the complex and fast-paced world of logistics, as well as taught specialist skills and knowledge to enable you to support your team successfully and add value to their overall running and organisation.
- Customer Service: Do you want to make a difference? Then look no further! You will work within one of our customer facing teams providing vital information to our customers, answering questions and problem solving to overcome issues. You will be provided will all the training you need to be a top class customer service specialist whilst being supported by your peers, your managers, and the apprenticeship team within Kuehne+Nagel.
- Warehousing: Our Warehouse teams provide a crucial role in ensuring we safely store, maintain and deliver our customers' valuable goods. You’ll be working in an exciting, busy atmosphere making sure deadlines are met and customer deliveries are made in time. Your role will depend on the specific team and site you are placed in, but don’t worry as you’ll be given all the training you need to be successful in your role.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Five GCSEs at grades 3 – 9 / A*-D (including Maths & English)
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
