We are looking for a Airfreight Customs Broker to join our freight operations in Derby. Do you have experience in providing first class customer service to customers and want to work for a global organisation with excellent career opportunities then this could be the role for you.
YOUR ROLE
We are currently recruiting for an Airfreight Customs Broker to support our contract with one of the UK's major aerospace manufacturers based in Derby. As an Airfreight Customs Broker you will be responsible for processing on the customers site of export customs entries being the primary role. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the world's leading airfreight provider's and as Customs Broker you will have a key role in promoting excellent customer relations
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
· Customer onsite facing role
· Monitoring of Customs movements completed by other K&N teams / sites (mindful of issues with Engine movements in particular)
· Auditing of Customs paperwork completed by other K&N teams / sites
· Generating / Analysing Customs reports
· Liaising with Agents / Airlines with regards to Customs movements
· Analytical approach to procedures and improving service (following the SOP is key; entries have started to move towards the shared services sites, so they will need to oversee the evolution of this)
· Service and Mentor colleagues on the Derby site
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
· Previous experience working in a similar logistics freight background with knowledge of customs procedures
· Customs Export Knowledge is key, would be advantageous to have customs import knowledge as well
· Solid base of Customs knowledge (to include Exports; knowledge of IPR & CFSP an advantage)
· Understanding of Transit Document procedures (T1, T2 documents)
· Basic working knowledge of Excel
· Good understanding of Integrated Customs Europe system
· Must understand Import and Export commercial and customs documentation
