Ready to take flight in a dynamic role that drives import operations to new heights? We're looking for an Air Logistics Import Clerk to orchestrate the smooth entry and transit of consignments into the UK. As a crucial part of our team, you'll handle QuickSTAT & Sterling Aviation consignments, meticulously ensuring compliance with company policies while collaborating closely with internal departments and airline carriers to guarantee top-notch client satisfaction. Hours are 8am till 8pm 4 on x 4 off, after 1 months training the hours will change to Mon – Fri 8am till 5pm.

Your Role

Your responsibilities will encompass meticulous document generation, completion of NES Import Customs entries, and managing duty & VAT payments. With an eye for detail, you'll monitor live consignments, update milestone data in our systems, and efficiently handle inquiries from internal and external sources. Your Responsibilities

  • Generation & quality check of Import documents based on HMRC CPC & HS Codes – Import License & Permits
  • Completion of NES Import Customs entries for non-EU consignments.
  • Arranging Clients duty & VAT payment via FAS or deferment accounts – ensuring any payments made by Quick Intl are entered into our inhouse system.
  • Monitoring of live consignments & completing the data entry of key milestone information on our in-house systems (Arrival – Customs cleared & Status 1).
  • Shared responsibility for the overview of the department mailbox, to include the receipt of new bookings and internal queries.
  • Scheduling suitable amalgamations for airline deliveries.
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries from both internal & external departments accurately and efficiently.
  • Keeping the Management team advised of potential & confirmed issues as they arise.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Specialist (Life Sciences / AOG) Courier Operations Experience.
  • Knowledge of the Airfreight Carriers operating from UK Airports & the services they offer.
  • Experience of handling Time Critical Export consignments.
  • Experience of working to strict deadlines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Courier / Freight Operations including Import / Export / Warehouse & Transport.
  • Experience of using On Board Couriers.
  • Understanding of transit milestones (Manifest /COB)
  • High level of Geographic knowledge including Airport Codes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the various temperature-controlled packaging solutions available on the open market to specialist forwarders.
