Your Role and Responsibilities
This APAC focused role serves as the face of marketing & communications to clients, sellers, business partners, analyst and media. You are externally focused to bring the voice of the client and market insights into IBM. You’re responsible for knowing and understanding IBM clients, partners, sellers, offerings, and overall market trends – what’s important to whom and why and how IBM can uniquely bring value to the client.
As a Field M&C Professional, you’ll build market engagement plans in APAC to drive business pipeline and revenue objectives based on a deep understanding of clients and the local market. As a Field Marketer, you will:
·  Maintain up to date knowledge of technology trends for Security and SSW BU. Leverage broad and deep technology and industry expertise to engage decision makers and key influencers with highly contextual insights into the benefits of emerging technology adoption and competitive perspective.
·  Collaborate with the business to generate demand for IBM products and solutions to accelerate growth by leveraging data and account insights
·  Leverage knowledge of multiple tactics and marketing and communications activities in your plans, including, live or virtual events, brand recognition, social media marketing, digital and email lead generation activities, and channel/partner marketing
·  Work closely with the country teams and other disciplines to design and execute local marketing and communications plans to support go-to-market strategies for Security and SSW BU
·  Brief, enable and collaborate with Sales, Clients, IBM Partners and/or internal stakeholders
·  Measure, analyze, and report on the impact of marketing and communications activities There is flexibility for this role to be based in either Singapore or India, Bangalore.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Experience in relevant markets creating and implementing successful marketing and/or communications plans, leveraging a range of tactics and technologies within budget, and on time.
·  Ability to work with cross functional and multicultural teams
·  Ability to align to set goals and objectives, while being able to quickly pivot based on business needs
·  Understanding of technology products, sales cycles, and solution positioning; with an ability to craft clear briefs/communication to key stakeholders
·  Ability to leverage data to make market aligned decisions to support go-to-market execution
·  Soft skills: Strong experience in excel, powerpoint, and Microsoft Word; Good written & oral communication skills; Highly organised, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently (self-directed) and as part of a team
·  Working knowledge of salesforce CRM ideal
