Team Leader - Bar

Job description

We are seeking a passionate and hands-on Team Leader – Bar to support the day-to-day operations of our bar venues and ensure an exceptional guest experience. In this role, you will lead by example on the floor, support and guide the bar team, and uphold Hyatt and Alila brand standards in service, product quality, and guest engagement.

· Assist in the daily operation of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service at all times
· Lead, coach, and motivate bar colleagues to deliver personalized, engaging, and professional service
· Ensure all beverages are prepared and served according to standard recipes, presentation, and hygiene standards
· Act as a key point of contact for guests, handling feedback and resolving issues in a proactive and courteous manner
· Support the Assistant Bar Manager with rostering, on-the-job training, and performance guidance for the team
· Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory control, and ensure proper storage and handling of all bar items
· Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as Hyatt and Alila policies and procedures
· Contribute ideas to improve guest experience, bar offerings, and revenue generation

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  Previous experience in a bar or lounge leadership role, ideally within a luxury resort or island environment.
·  Strong knowledge of mixology, wines, spirits, and crafted beverages.
·  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest‑centric mindset.
·  Proven leadership abilities with professionalism and integrity.
·  Experience working in the Maldives or a remote island setting is an advantage.
·  A passion for creating memorable guest moments and delivering authentic hospitality
·  Good command of spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage
