Job description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef with a background in Mediterranean cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, creating innovative Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
· Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and develop creative and authentic Mediterranean-inspired menus.
· Oversee and participate in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
· Supervise and train the culinary team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to execute dishes with precision.
· Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control to maintain optimal ingredient freshness and availability.
· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety, sanitation, and standards.
· Contribute to menu planning, cost control, and kitchen budget management.
· Stay updated on current trends in Mediterranean cuisine and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu offerings.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine.
- In-depth knowledge of Mediterranean cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate kitchen staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
