Job description
· To ensure the efficient and economic operation of the Stewarding Department in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation, and overseeing the operating equipment inventory.
· Ensures that Stewarding associates work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments.
· Establishes and strictly controls inventories and par stocks in the operation for all operating equipment, Food and Beverage, PPE items and to ensure that the outlet is adequately equipped.
· Controls the requisitioning, storage and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.
· Liaises with the Food and Beverage Department and Culinary Department on daily operations and quality control.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
· 3-5 years of experience in a hotel or restaurant environment, with a focus on stewarding or related operations.
· Diploma in hospitality management, business management, or a related field may be preferred.
· Experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the stewarding department or similar operations (such as kitchen, facilities, or logistics) is often required.
· Ability to manage a team of stewards, direct operations, and ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
