Position Summary

Hyatt is currently seeking to add a Network Engineer / Analyst to support the Hyatt team in the Asia Pacific region. We are looking for a driven technology professional with a strong process orientation, deep technical skills, the ability to work under pressure, and desire to continuously improve. This position reports to the Director/ Manager, Network Operations. The role provides daily challenges and no day is the same as the next. This role has both operational and strategic responsibilities, along with interaction with customers. This role will plan, coordinate, implement and deliver services to our customers and partners on a variety of platforms and vendor platforms. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have subject matter expertise in several network areas, but a minimum of three with the ability to rapidly scale up in the other areas will suffice. The goal will be to deliver a high-quality product by committed delivery dates, consistently.

The selected incumbent will be scheduled to work on a five-day workweek, which includes either a Saturday or Sunday as part of the working days (such as Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday). Candidates with lesser experience may be considered for the position of Network Analyst.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the Network Engineer / Analyst will include:

· Design, implement and support new and existing services for customers and business partners.
· Improve performance and availability of existing networks and services.
· Research, track, document, publish and maintain network policies and procedures.
· Work with Hyatt management to improve process, procedures and reduce inefficiencies.
· Out of the box thinking – text book solutions are not always the best answer.
· Mentor, train and assist team members.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Must Have:

·  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
·  Moderate to advanced knowledge of switches, firewalls and security concepts (IOS, NEXUS, ASA, VPN, ACL, STP, SNMP).
·  Moderate to advanced knowledge with Solarwinds for monitoring, scripting and assets management.
·  Moderate to advanced knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, GRE).
·  3+ years' experience in network support, design and/or architecture on moderately complex networks.
·  2+ years' experience with design and implantation on complex networks, including firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, etc.).
·  Able to work within a team or on an individual basis.
·  Flexible to work on/off shift to meet company, customer and internal requirements.
·  Excellent written and verbal communications skill sets with English (Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus).

Desired:

·  CCNP (routing, data center, security or service provider).
·  Knowledgeable on Load balancers (F5) and VOIP technologies (Mitel, Cisco, etc.).
