Job description
The Junior Sous Chef is responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations by supervising food quality, hygiene standards, and the proper execution of recipes and presentations. The role also includes assisting with ordering supplies, controlling labor and food costs, and preparing product requisitions to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
The Junior Sous Chef collaborates closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs on menu development, the introduction of new dishes, and the implementation of operational improvements. Regular engagement with guests is essential to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction with both food quality and presentation.
Additionally, the Junior Sous Chef leads and motivates the culinary team through training, fostering teamwork, and upholding Alila's values, safety standards, and sustainability practices.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience in an upscale dining environment within a luxury hotel.

Intermediate English proficiency (approximately 65%).
·
Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
·
Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and discipline.
·
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
·
Outstanding guest service abilities with clear, confident communication.
·
Ability to recommend dishes based on guest preferences and budget, with solid knowledge of allergy considerations and religious dietary restrictions.
