Job description

The Hygiene Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards across all operational areas of the hotel. This role includes overseeing sanitary procedures, leading internal audits, training staff on hygiene protocols, and ensuring adherence to both local and international regulations. The position requires technical knowledge in microbiology, nutrition, or food engineering, as well as experience in luxury hospitality and certifications such as Distintivo H. Strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to manage sanitary risk and preventive plans are essential.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

· 
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in the role, preferably within luxury hospitality.
Certification or academic background in Food Engineering, Nutrition, Microbiology, or related fields.

· 
Knowledge and experience in sanitary regulations, including local and international legislation on food safety, as well as hygiene and safety standards applied to hotels and restaurants.

· 
English Intermediate (A2-B1) and Spanish communication skills.

· 
Familiarity with the Distintivo H certification.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to train teams in hygiene protocols and operational best practices.

· 
Effective communication skills and experience managing internal audits.

· 
Competence in risk analysis and control, including the implementation of preventive plans and crisis management in response to sanitary incidents.
