Job description

Main Duties and responsibilities:
Operational:
• To welcome and receive guests by greeting them as per the standards.
• To ensure proficient and professional food & beverage service to the guests by meeting and also exceeding their expectations.
• Deliver unprecedented personalization. Offer discreet recognition. Connect with guests' passions and create memorable experiences.
• Maintain high visibility ‘on the floor' and provide assistance to our guests in a pro-active way
• Liaise and communicate effectively with all departments to ensure seamless transfer of information takes place
• To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend food & beverage combinations and upsell alternatives.
• To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow up with guests.
• To handle cashiering duties, ensure that restaurant cashiering procedures are strictly adhered to and that the Point of Sale system is updated and operated correctly.
• To ensure that the local occupational safety and health requirements, as well as the company safety and security policies are being adhered to
• To ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times
• To perform opening and closing procedures established by the restaurant.
• To flag and highlight VIP's guests among the venues based on the reservation
Customer Service
• To ensure that all deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.
• To ensure that all associates are familiar with World of Hyatt program and have attended respective training.
• To build and deliver brand-led experiences that will contribute to exceeding hotel NPS and customer services scores.
• To ensure associates are making full use of the Guest Experience Management program (GEM).
Personnel

• Supports colleagues in their professional development goals.
• To ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Hotel's Employee Rules & Regulations.
• To be able to comply with the company's performance management and disciplinary procedure.
• To ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the hotel's policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
General
• To attend, initiate and contribute to all staff meetings, departmental and hotel trainings scheduled and other related activities.
• To respond to any changes in the restaurant function as dictated by the Management.
• To lead by example

Desired profile

Qualifications :

An ideal candidate will possess:

·  Ideally with a relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism management.
·  Minimum 2 years' work experience in hotel operations.
· 
Good customer service, communications and interpersonal skills are a must.
