TPM Middle Office Operations Specialist
Objetive
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Operations Specialist to join our Equity Operations team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless processing of US and International equity trades, managing account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and maintaining operational efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions:
· Perform daily reconciliation of depot, nostro, suspense, and brokerage accounts to ensure accurate trade settlement.
· Investigate and resolve breaks or discrepancies promptly, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
· Ensuring accurate records and associated reporting for audit purposes.
· Perform root cause analysis, working with various stakeholders to help drive reduction in exceptions.
· Escalate unresolved breaks to appropriate stakeholders as needed.
· Oversee the matching of broker trades to ensure accurate and timely settlement.
· Monitor and address unmatched trades, working closely with external brokers and clearing houses.
· Ensure adherence to settlement timelines and industry best practices.
· Communicate effectively with internal teams, including trading desks, compliance, and risk management.
· Generate and distribute operational reports, highlighting key metrics and exceptions.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
· Experience in the asset class.
· Detailed understanding of both US and International Equity Markets (such as market risk, sensitivities, liquidity, and FX risk).
· Knowledge of financial processing systems.
· Excellent analytical and PC skills, as well as a keen eye for detail.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
· Ability to operate autonomously without direct supervision. Ability to analyze and make decisions quickly in the event of a problem.
· Seasoned written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with senior operational and trading management.
· Ability to manage a network of diverse stakeholders in person and remotely.
· Ability to quickly grasp new industry practices and create/document new processes.
· Proactive thought leadership to identify and deliver process improvements and efficiencies.
· Minimum of a BA/BS degree in financial or related field, or equivalent experience.
