We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer.

Business:Wealth & Personal Banking IT

Principal responsibilities 
1. Write clean, efficient, and well documented code in Python and Java.
2. Experience with automation and Insurance domain knowledge.
3. Solid understanding of Software security principles and practices as well as a keen interest in Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS).
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
6. Implement and maintain cloud-based solutions on AWS ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
7. Integrate continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins for efficient and automated software deployments.
8. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to ensure high performance and reliability.
9. Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
10. Use collaboration tools like Jira and confluence to manage tasks and communications.
11. Develop and execute automation test cases to ensure code quality and functionality.
12. Peer code review

 

Requirements

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
1. Programming Proficiency - strong knowledge of the programming languages: Java, Python.
2. Hands-on experience with automation related skills.
3. Proficient in setting up the CI/CD pipelines
4. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
5. Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Want to be part of a world class team, working for a business with a need and appreciation for excellent software engineers;
8. Excellent knowledge of their technical environment and will have significant responsibility in setting the way forward in the types of technology they look after. Forward thinking, making the right decisions based on strategy.
