We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of   Senior Software Engineer.

Business: Group Data Technology

Principal responsibilities

The Data Engineering job is responsible for building, managing and supporting performance and incentive management tools specific to a HSBC business area in line with prevailing data standard and data controls. This job is also accountable end to end for a front line tools for a specific HSBC business area.
This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:
• Hands on experience on web technologies like Spring with Java backends
• Hands on experience on front end development like Javascript (reactJS, Node.js).
• Familiar with SQL 
• Responsible for automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement.
• End to end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey
• Optimizing consumption of data from the data repositories.
• Working in Agile model to roll-out the functions of production environment

Requirements

• Java, Shell and SQL
• Knowledge/experience on Agile environment
• English in listening, reading, writing and speaking
• UI/UX understanding and implementation
