We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Project Management Office
Role Purpose:
The Program and Project Services Analyst (PMO) will perform several support/administration and analyst tasks to support efficient project execution within Transformation by:
Supporting the delivery of best practice programme/project management tools and templates and assisting with simple, straightforward requests from priority and enterprise-wide programmes.
Supporting the production of standard project & programme reporting, insights & achieving operational excellence.
Supporting the delivery of Portfolio Management operational tasks such as supporting resourcing activity as well as financial analysis.
Main Activities:
Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)
Reporting and Insight:
· Deliver simple standard and ad-hoc reports that are aligned with prescribed Reporting and Insights processes, guidelines, frameworks, and data requirements.
· Collate data required to support the delivery of ad-hoc requests & insights.
· Assist in the collection & verification of data to support the Global Transformation Portfolio & Programme Management team, supporting the provision of a single view of the portfolio profile and status.
· Assist in the collection of data according to standard data definitions from multiple sources and helping to identify data gaps and inconsistencies, as part of the data reconciliation programme.
· Assist in the collection and verification of data to support the Global Function reporting requirements (HPP, HRC).
· Update Project Reporting guidelines when necessary.
Impact on business/function
· Demonstrates good knowledge of HSBC Change Framework, supporting the creation of detailed plans including key activities and milestones.
· Supports the Programme & Project Manager in defining required scope, quality, cost and effort.
· PMO, delivery partner and practice liaison.
· Understands impact of change requests to scope, time, budget, or effort and helps identify new requirements to deliver the project successfully.
· Measures progress against plan and, with the Project Manager, takes action to ensure results are achieved, and exceeded where possible; focuses on quality and review requirements and builds on feedback.
· Helps the Project Manager manage the plan, looking ahead & removing roadblocks to delivery. Ask questions when they do not understand, takes ownership of problems & escalates when needed (remaining calm, knowing when to escalate & escalate with possible solutions).
· Proactively and effectively manages own time and workload, advocates to team the importance of project pace to achieve successful delivery.
· Keeps focus on the medium- and long-term goals and the Group’s values particularly when under short term pressure.
· Operational effectiveness and control
· Assists Programme Managers with programme mobilisation including activities such as onboarding resources and setting up the Clarity plans.
· Assists with the production of a well-defined programme plan, identifying the key milestones and support the Programme Managers in the assigning of role/task responsibilities.
· Work with Programme Managers to provide programme governance and compliance, identifying and raising issues when necessary, controlling programme tollgates, managing programme budgets, and helping maintain change control.
· Assists Project Managers with project mobilisation including activities such as onboarding resources and setting up the Clarity plans.
· Assists with the production of a well-defined project plan, identifying the key milestones and support the Project Managers in the assigning of role/task responsibilities.
· Work with Project Managers to provide project governance and compliance, identifying and raising issues when necessary, controlling project tollgates, managing project budgets, and helping maintain change control.
· Helps ensure that the project team follows all quality assurance processes, Global Transformation Frameworks and use standard tools such as Clarity.
· Tracks, reviews and controls programme/project progress and performance at clearly defined points in the process to help ensure that the programme/project is delivered on time, within budget; anticipating potential risks and issues, putting mitigating actions into place to prevent delivery stalling, and escalating as appropriate.
· Demonstrates understanding of analytical tools and techniques to prepare and analyse management reports; identifying factors that are putting the programme off track, monitor and share progress with stakeholders.
· Support Project Managers with closure activities, including post project review and handover.
· Support Project Managers with ad-hoc logistics queries.
· Associate Project Manager/ Officer is organised, plans their work, and delivers on time / keep commitments.
· Associate Project Manager/ Officer produces deliverables that are of a high quality (well structured, insightful, no errors) and with sufficient review time and appropriate response to feedback.
Requirements

· Understanding of Global Transformation Business Transformation Frameworks, methodologies, and best practice techniques.
· Understanding of the purpose, value, culture, and fundamentals of Global Transformation.
