The Product Specialist Analyst is responsible for supporting the Product Specialist team across all asset classes, including sales initiatives as well as smooth functioning of day-to-day related activities.  The role will serve as the effective “link” between the portfolio management teams, distribution (both locally and globally), product teams, client proposition, and marketing.

As our Product Specialist Analyst you will:

·  Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge relating to portfolio management and wealth solutions
·  Work with the Product Specialist and Product Development to structure all aspects of investment offerings, coordinating reviews by internal and external parties, creating presentation materials and coordinating client engagements
·  Interface with investment teams and fund managers to understand the investment offerings in order to maintain and advance HSBC’s competitive position. Provide strategic recommendations for new products. Serve as feedback mechanism from the marketplace to the investment process.
·  Create and/or maintain a marketing and distributions materials on for products from traditional to alternatives including investment process, philosophy, and portfolio construction methodologies.
·  Develop tools to help portfolio teams communicate and present consistent investment messages.
·  Support and conduct periodic investment training for sales and marketing professionals in various sales channels.
·  Internally promote the capability with the sales teams through regular update calls and proactively communicate sales propositions and investment opportunities
·  Assist in achieving AUM growth targets and client retention targets
·  Provide frequent investment updates and market commentary to client facing staff
·  Proactive and productive relationship with all business partners, especially distribution and product management.
·  Attend client meetings, seminars and internal and external industry events
·  Build strong working relationship with local and global stakeholders such as Portfolio Managers, Legal, Compliance, Operations, etc.

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $86,700.00 and $130,100.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

·  3+ years experience in similar roles 
·  High level of professional and personal integrity
·  High Proficiency in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.)
·  Experience with Bloomberg, Aladdin and Addepar preferred 
·  Strong analytical skills and very organized
·  Developed verbal, presentation, written and interpersonal communications skills
·  Demonstrated experience in sales or marketing business
·  Attention to details and strong at following through
·  Very resourceful, ability to get up to speed quickly and multi-task
·  Undergraduate degree in finance or business
·  Some project management experience preferable
·  Basic understanding of modern portfolio theory, and main asset classes (bonds, equities, alternative investments)
·  Growth mindset; humble, hungry, and motivated
·  FINRA licenses 7-63-65 or 66(in lieu of 63 and 65)
