We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President - Finance Operations

Principal responsibilities

·  The role holder will support the Head of Reference Data Management in maintaining and governing data. Primary responsibilities will include
·  Central maintenance and governance all Reference Dataset which have been setup on strategic reference data platform (RDHM) and for Finance Data Cloud & other Finance systems
·  Manage and streamline newly created processes being set up in strategic reference data tool/ platform and manage downstream process impact on Finance Cloud Data Platform
·  Ensure that each reference data table implemented is backed by adequate documentation, Change requests etc. and are of a standard which can withstand internal and external scrutiny
·  Collaborate to ensure that changes are properly governed, adequate impact analysis is carried out 
·  Ensure compliance to Data FIM expectation as regard Reference Data
·  Ensure changes proposed are backed by adequate documentation, rational and approval
·  Support automation of the Reference data management process
·  Work closely with Finance Change Delivery and Data Architecture Office team
·  Ensure controls upliftment in line with regulatory commitment been delivered as part of IRR programme

Requirements

·  Experienced Finance Professional who has dealt with Financial Reporting and/or Regulatory reporting obligations and regulations within a large-scale financial services entity
·  Strong understanding of requirements underpinning the reference data policies, procedures, practices and the ability to provide SME knowledge to a large transformational project
·  Exposure on regulatory reporting, Business finance and banking systems with the ability to understand, interpret and refine dataflow will be helpful
·  Immaculate attention to detail and ability to challenge information presented
·  Experience in analysing and interpreting large volumes of data
·  Proven track record in playing a key role in delivering a complex change project in the Financial and Regulatory reporting space
·  Exceptional drive, commitment and focus on operational excellence
·  Understanding of HSBC Group structures, values, behaviours, processes and objectives
·  Knowledge of GCP / SDI is an advantage
·  Strong understanding of Agile ways of working
