We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Systems Administrator
In this role, you will:
· Ability to operate and maintain various OS platforms, with a focus on debugging, automation, availability, performance, and scale. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
· Work and collaborate across teams, such as OS, Applications, Hardware, Network etc…
· Using your expertise in principles of automation and continuous improvement, you will help create an environment where availability, reliability, and security are threaded by being role model for Juniors.
· Should be able to present a solution and implement or explain the problem to both technical and non-technical parties.
· Should be able to lead crisis calls and work on finding the Root Cause Analysis and should be able to test & implement remedial actions.
· Engineering of Linux systems administration-related solutions for global Payment services.
· Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning using the platform and strategic tools in the Bank
· Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
· Expert level knowledge and troubleshooting Skills of Unix Infrastructure (Linux)
· Proactively Support & Maintain Critical Linux infrastructure 24x7 in a 3-shift pattern.
· Expert level Troubleshooting experience on Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas Cluster setup.
· Expertise in Network topologies, TCP/IP and Routing
· Adept knowledge of RAID Levels such as RAID-0, RAID-1, RAID-1+0, RAID-5
· Excellent knowledge of LVM and luns (SAN) configuration on Linux
· Skillsets and expertise on virtualization (Cloud / VMware technologies)
· Ability of support role swap / DR tests
· Ability to develop simple/complex shell scripts as per requirements.
· Troubleshooting various issues like performance, OS booting problems, Filesystem etc... on servers. And Strong technical knowledge in respective technology.
· Effective in dealing with Crises calls/Critical issues for business-critical services.
