Global Trade and Receivables Finance comprises over 4,500 people across more than 60 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs. Trade is where HSBC began in 1865, when we financed commerce between Europe, North America and Asia.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Product Manager, Global Product Management.
Principal responsibilities
Develop value propositions that are commercially viable and develop business cases to justify strategic initiatives and secure approvals
Set up implementation plans and guides and review other product related documentation as required under the banks’ Risk Based Product Management
Detail business requirements used for developing functional specifications
Initiate product reviews in line with agreed roadmap to ensure that the compliance related requirements are met and also ensure all actions pints arising are duly addressed.
Conduct pricing reviews to ensure that products are priced at appropriate levels
Adherence to the Product Life Cycle methodology during product development
Product positioning
Pricing guidelines including regulatory and compliance incorporation
Marketing collateral, Customer Training and Communications
Providing input towards reviewing of related compliance regulatory sections and tabling them at governance board for approval.
Reviewing operational controls as part of the process reviews.
Analysis of financials that provide inputs towards strategy development and planning.
Assist in conducting formal business reviews with sites that tie results back to strategic business initiatives.
Conduct annual pricing reviews to ensure that products are priced according to market conditions and there are appropriate risk based returns achieved.
Desired profile
Requirements
Postgraduate degree or equivalent qualifications
Experienced in corporate banking preferably with relevant trade or receivables finance knowledge
Basic understanding of Product Management or Business Development or Corporate Relationship Management
Strategic thinker with ability to drive tactical execution
Past experience in proposition development and commercialization would be an added advantage
Strong influencing and communication skills
Organizational and administrative skills
