We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of  Payments Processor Analyst

Role Purpose 

The purpose of this role is to ensure the correct execution of US dollar payment processing globally for all HSBC group affiliates. The process must be managed through the Global Payment System (GPS).

Principal Accountabilities

·  Repair/verify all payments within the Inward and Outward queues that are not properly formatted or contain insufficient information to be processed automatically.
·  Validate in the appropriate systems the information necessary to execute the repair/verification of Non STP payments for their correct processing.
·  Perform additional investigation or special processing for payments that cannot be repaired. In these cases, the repair operator will try to find the correct payment details or note the payment with the reason recorded in the Notes tab in the payment and move on to investigations for review.
·  Comply with repairs/verifications, complying with the cut-off times stipulated for each process.

Requirements

·  Language: Advanced level English
·  Knowledge of statistics and accounting (intermediate level)
·  Parcel Main office: Excel, Word, PPT, Visio (Intermediate Level)

Knowledge & Experience

·  Experience/skills in managing operational processes, critical situations, self-directed, innovation and continuous improvement. Pro activity, experience in process documentation.
·  Experience in operating systems to carry out operations in financial markets.- Previous experience working in a financial institution, or some other area within HSBC.  
·  Communication skills: written and verbal.
