We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will be:

·  configure, implementing database backups, disaster recovery strategies and maintain Resilience of application.
·  Defines, documents, and implements standards and complicated models to monitor and improve the database's capacity, successful flow of activities and performance.
·  Maintains knowledge of and assesses new and developing technologies and tools for field application.
·  Ensure SLAs and operational KPIs are fulfilled, collaborating with internal and external support departments as needed when large events occur.
·  Implement Archive and purging strategies.
·  Engineering Principles defined at HSBC Technology and ET (Enterprise Technology) level alignment.
·  Production Support, Product upgrade support, End user query support and application performance tuning.  This could involve on Call supporting until issue is resolved.
·  Architectural alignment – in lines of “Works with functional and technical architects in supplying the Product specifics that are needed for making architectural decisions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

·  10 to 12 Years as a DBA, management of Oracle on-premises and Oracle Cloud databases.
·  Advanced understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring requirements
·  PowerShell, Unix shell scripting abilities and high proficiency in SQL, DB Architecture and SQL server tools are required.
·  Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server infrastructures
·  Prior knowledge of DBA case tools (frontend/backend), disaster recovery, archive, purge strategies, access provision  to downstream and third-party tools is required.
·  Extensive knowledge of database standards and end-user applications and the ability to translate capacity needs into infrastructure deployment technologies.
·  Knowledge in IDCS and OCI Infrastructure. Good understanding on user access provisioning and role based access
·  Knowledge on JIRA, ServiceNow.
