Role purpose
To manage all the activities of assigned migration & remigration projects for a Group Service Center towards achieving cost effective, efficient implementation of processing work being migrated from HSBC businesses across the globe. Ensure delivery of high quality service within Service Level Agreements to predetermined critical timescales, in joint collaboration with Operations, Central Migrations team, Group businesses across globe and GSC functions in the assigned site.
The role has the accountability to make proposal for alternative pertaining to the availability of desks at the site for work allocation to each GSC in such a manner where there is balanced growth, increased revenue and cost effectiveness while following the guiding principles of Business Services & GSCG.
The job involves an array of activities spread across the following domains:

Main activities
· The job holder shall be responsible and accountable for project managing assigned migration projects for a specific and assigned Group Service Centre, which shall involve comprehensive planning & implementation of the business migration plans and regular review of progress of the assigned migrations via Global Resourcing Migration Governance (GRMG) before hand-over to Operations team.
· The nature of the role requires effective communication and liaising between members of the team and also with other department/functions, to enable seamless support to meet the ambitious and aggressive migration plans for a specific and assigned GSC site, which involves implementation of a wide variety of processes from HSBC Group companies.
· Work with Central Migrations team towards ensuring that the Migration Planning Execution and Governance (MPEG) tool is most up-to-date with latest migration plans.
· Communicate and engage with BP on the onset of any new migration for relevant information, statistics & metrics prior to migration activity
· The position involves close co-ordination with Operations, HR, Training, IT, Compliance and Finance teams to ensure timely escalation or resolution of any business constraints in achieving the assigned migration plans for GSC site.
· Proactively ensure availability of migration documentation to GSC functions, in line with the agreed methodology. Ensure that the migrating business entity procures the relevant sign-offs as mandated by the Operations Risk functions. Also to add value to the content through joint review with operations & IT team.
· Escalate & facilitate resolution of issues on migrations through GRMG Governance or separately.
· Review Training plan and learning curves for a new migration in conjunction with Operations & BP and monitor the achievement of the same.
· To ensure all training resource requirements are identified on time and initiate selection process of TIM as per the agreed methodology with members of Operations Management team of the GSC site. Also to ensure all the Visa & travel formalities are managed within the agreed timelines.
· Drive Business Continuity strategies per group guidelines in conjunction with the Contingency Risk (CR) teams to ensure robust contingency planning and strategies are in place.
· Represent Migrations in key strategic projects for Regions/Business Services/ Sites and ensure that assigned deliverables are completed with excellent quality.
· To assume overall responsibility for managing or meeting service expectations of business units, migrating work to the assigned GSC site, during the migration phase.
· Build GSC site, through effective and efficient implementation of migrations, as operational unit delivering high quality, high volume processing service.
Capacity management:
· Ensure appropriate desk allocation for all incoming growth (offshoring activities) by working closely with business partners, regions, Business Services and site SPOCs in such a manner that the Capacity and operational synergies are effectively managed.
· Work on capacity modelling and developing effective tools that create a future outlook of the capacity availability/deficit in each of the locations and highlight the opportunities to senior management and Business Services
· Monitor and track on a timely basis capacity availability, utilisation at site and report it to Senior Management to impact key decisions on Corporate Real Estate (CRE) footprints to the site.

· Experience in project managing initiatives/projects through to delivery of goals.
· Proven experience in setting organizational direction and communicating and implementing overall business goals.
· Proven experience of successfully leading, managing and developing a team with responsibility of diverse process migrations across a range of business units.
· Effective decision making skills and the problem solving ability.
· Ability to understand and implement Group risk management policies.
· Strong analytics, business management and project management qualification
