We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant specialist.
In this role you will:
· This ITSO role will oversee both the instant payments infrastructure and the GTExchange platform, ensuring high availability, security, and performance while driving improvements to meet evolving business needs
· Service Ownership: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of both Instant Payment and GTExchange Swiss Payment systems, ensuring robust, secure, and compliant service delivery.
· Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal business units, IT teams, third-party vendors, and regulatory bodies regarding instant payment and GTExchange services.
· Operational Excellence: Monitor service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance metrics for both platforms, working proactively to resolve any issues.
· Incident & Problem Management: Oversee incident resolution and root cause analysis for both payment services, ensuring swift resolution and implementing preventive measures.
· Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including Swiss payment standards, PSD2, SEPA, SWIFT, and other relevant frameworks, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
· Strategic Roadmapping: Develop strategic roadmaps for instant payments and GTExchange systems, incorporating system upgrades, new functionality, and digital transformation opportunities.
· Service Improvements: Lead initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and customer experience, including process automation and integration with emerging technologies.
· Budget Oversight: Manage budget allocation and financial forecasting for instant payment and GTExchange services, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
· Cross-Functional Leadership: Guide a team of professionals to support the execution of strategic projects, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous service improvements.
· GTExchange Platform Oversight: Manage the specific requirements of GTExchange, HSBC’s critical Swiss payment processing platform, ensuring its alignment with Swiss and international standards.
· Vendor Coordination: Collaborate closely with GTExchange vendors and support teams for effective platform maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements.
· Security & Compliance: Ensure GTExchange meets Swiss regulatory standards, data security, and confidentiality requirements.
· Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve GTExchange processes to enhance speed, accuracy, and compliance in payment processing.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
· Experience in IT service management within the banking or financial services sector, with expertise in payment systems.
· Strong knowledge of instant payment systems, payment processing, and regulatory requirements specific to Swiss and international standards.
· Hands-on experience with GTExchange or similar Swiss payment systems and platforms.
· Proven capability in managing complex IT services, including multiple stakeholders and vendors.
· In-depth knowledge of ITIL framework, incident management, and root cause analysis.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in stakeholder management, particularly in high-stakes and regulated environments.
· Experience with cloud-based payments infrastructure and system modernization initiatives.
· Knowledge of DevOps practices and agile development frameworks.
· Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISM, or relevant Swiss regulatory certifications.
