About the Programme:

During the 12-month Apprenticeship Programme, you will gain hands-on work experience, develop your knowledge of banking and financial services, and will be provided the opportunity to take on responsibilities across a selection of interesting projects. During this time, you will also improve your professional and personal skills and receive practical and on-the-job training. At the end of the programme, you will have the opportunity to be considered for exciting roles within the organisation.

Opportunities and job roles are available in the following business areas: 

1.     Wealth and Personal Banking:  Contact Centres

This role offers opportunities in three focus areas:

-        Analytics: Use speech analytics to identify process and call quality improvements

-        Customer Journey: Assist customers in completing digital banking processes via phone or email.

-        Process Improvement: Analyse feedback and design solutions to enhance customer experience and operational efficiencies.

2.     Wealth and Personal Banking : Network

You will adopt a needs-based approach to recommend retail banking products and deliver exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include managing customer queries, performing customer onboarding while ensuring regulatory compliance, and championing digital banking solutions. You’ll identify customers’ wealth and home loan needs, referring them to appropriate officers, and handle operational tasks efficiently and accurately.

3.     Wealth and Personal Banking : Investment Services

You will assist in the administration of investment-linked funds and Unit Trusts, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key tasks include processing daily unit pricing, handling subscriptions/ redemptions, liaising with fund managers, supporting periodic reporting, and maintaining internal controls. You’ll also support audit requests and perform various administrative duties as required.

4.     Global Private Banking : Wealth Strategy and Commercialisation

In this dynamic role, you will support wealth strategy initiatives, manage stakeholder collaboration, and create presentation materials. You’ll assist in executing wealth campaigns, drafting campaign documents and approvals, and overseeing campaign fulfilment. Tracking commercialisation results and staying updated on product developments will be key responsibilities

             5.      Wholesale : Client Services

            The Wholesale Client Services team in HSBC is responsible for the full life cycle, including onboarding for new client entities and products,                     ongoing client servicing and credit servicing. You will gain experience in client-centric tasks, supporting Relationship Managers                                    (RMs) in understanding client needs, handling queries, and assisting with the credit process. Responsibilities include client onboarding,                          managing financial crime risk assessments, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver high-quality service. You will also support RMs in day-          to-day activities and query management.

             6.    Digital Business Services : Corporate Services

           The role involves supporting Business Continuity and Incident Management (BCIM) by assisting in planning exercises, coordinating with IT and             Facilities for critical resources, and monitoring business continuity activities. It also encompasses Protective Security and Workplace Safety                   responsibilities, such as managing building access and supporting emergency evacuation exercises. This role also includes various operational              tasks like organising team meetings, tracking purchase orders and other administrative tasks for Corporate Services.

               7.    Digital Business Services : Operations

           In this role, you will support the Operations Delivery Lead in Singapore by assisting with business management activities, including                                implementing operational strategies, identifying process improvements, and supporting financial and headcount planning. You will help provide n            data insights for informed decision making, and assess risks related to regulations, technology, and market conditions. You will develop an                      understanding of business challenges and learn to transform them into actionable goals.  

Requirements

Requirements:

To be eligible for a place in the programme:

·       You must be a Polytechnic graduate from any discipline in your final year or graduated with no more than two years of work experience ;

·       Be available to work full time from June/ July 2025 for a duration of 12 months.

·       Those who have completed National Service are also eligible to apply.

You must possess:  

·       Good communication skills, both verbal and written

·       Good learning attitude and a can-do personality

·       Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

·       Fluency in English

·       The legal right to work in Singapore
