We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Delivery Head.

Principal responsibilities
The Delivery Head role will support our multi-year strategy, technology, people, and process changes while ensuring delivery to our business partners. Pivotal to this will be modernising our technology, re-defining our ways of working; diminishing engineering friction and creating enabled and autonomous teams that can deliver functions front-to-back.
The role will require a focused drive to uplift the Resilience of our services and ensure best practices are adopted within all engineering functions.
While there is a strong matrix management focus of technologists (developers, testers, release managers, delivery SMEs, etc.), there is also a need for equally strong stakeholder engagement. The Delivery Head will work in partnership with China and global technical leads, engineers, business counterparts, and other support function to ensure we meet the needs of deliverables and strengthen engineering culture.
Drive activities to support Engineering Transformation to include:
· Provide technical leadership across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilising their skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities typically being deployed to resolve the most challenging and/or impactful projects or deliveries.
· Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the productor service’s direction. Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data.
· Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change with a strong customer focus and end to end journeys, ensuring they have an excellent domain knowledge.
· Working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release / change.
· Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.
· Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.
· Responsible for automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement.
· Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc.
· Promote innovation and adoption of cutting-edge specialist technologies and practices.
· Work with the Engineering Practice to promote development of engineers through coaching, and mentoring.
· Lead a sizable team with 50 to 80 FEM&S China members. Create a vibrant Engineering Culture and work with the engineers on the ground to set priorities, drive deliverable outcome, and foster wide collaboration.
Requirements
· University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
· Strong experience in working Agile environment with a strong focus on developing engineering solutions.
· Proven ability to improve developer productivity – through automation and advanced technical skills.
· Experience of service management techniques, including change management, incident management, and infrastructure.
· Exposure and success working within a global matrix organization model.
· Ability to think laterally and innovatively and find creative solutions, with a proactive approach to problem solving and delivery.
· Ability to understand business issues and devise solutions that deliver results, constructing fresh approaches where appropriate and making connections to other issues.
· Able to work within an ambiguous environment, prioritize and reconcile competing demands and resolve complex issues.
· Highly experienced in getting the best out of people at various levels.
