Technical Program Manager
· The mission of Aruba Threat Labs is to find, eliminate and ultimately prevent security vulnerabilities in Aruba products. We break our products before the bad guys do. The Technical Program Manager position is responsible for both tactical and strategic internal Aruba Threat Labs initiatives as well as working in conjunction with other departments such as Product Management and Engineering.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Aruba Threat Labs, the Technical Program Manager will help facilitate and prioritize tasks and initiatives. Some of these initiatives can be operational security related to the Aruba Security Incident Response Team, Aruba’s Bug Bounty Program and other Aruba Threat Labs’ day-to-day activities such as maintaining and creating reports/ dashboards in Jira, interfacing with program managers from product and engineering teams, external vendors and coordinating Aruba Threat Labs webinars. Strategic initiatives include understanding and prioritizing Threat Research activities and product security review engagements.
The ideal candidate must be, first and foremost, passionate about information security. The successfully candidate will excel at technical coordination, planning, communication, creating/ managing projects and building relationships across the organization.
Requirements:
· 2+ years of Program or Project Management Experience with decentralized teams
· Ability to work unsupervised
· Strong communication, prioritization, proactiveness and facilitation skills
· Detail oriented with effective problem-solving skills
· Desire to improve or develop security/ technical skills (yes, we pay for training)
· Willingness to be involved in the security community, by attending, volunteering or speaking at security/ hacker conferences
· Experience with collaboration and project management tools like Jira and Confluence
Desired Skills:
· Fluency or familiarity with the language of computer security, vulnerabilities, and hacking
Other Information:
The Aruba Threat Labs team and the product engineering teams are geographically dispersed. Some occasional travel may be required to visit development centers; conference calls (some at odd hours) will certainly be required. You should expect a significant portion of your interactions with coworkers to be done remotely, through tools like Teams, Slack, and Zoom. As a result, this position need not be assigned to an HPE office - you are free to work from wherever you are most productive. You should be comfortable working independently and without direct supervision.
