HPE OneView is your infrastructure automation engine built with software intelligence. It streamlines provisioning and lifecycle management across compute, storage and fabric and enables IT staff can control resources programmatically through a unified API. With HPE OneView, infrastructure can be configured, monitored, updated and repurposed with a single line of code, allowing IT teams to more effectively meet changing application needs.

The HPE OneView team is looking for a college intern to help take HPE OneView to the next generation of IT. We are looking for strong Java programming skills, experience with Python (or similar scripting language), experience with Agile methods, and a desire to work on state-of-the art data center management tools.

What You Will Be Doing

· Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including systems management, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools

· Analyzes design and determines coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.

· Writes and executes complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs, and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture

· Work with project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem

· Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software systems design status, project progress, and issue resolution

· Represents the software systems engineering team for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects.

Desired profile

·  Currently enrolled in University, studying Computer Science, EECS, or equivalent.

·  Expertise in J2EE, Spring framework. Experience with Source Code Management systems.

·  Product development using Linux. Experience with Object Oriented Design, and Design Patterns.

·  Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English

·  Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at all management levels.
