We’re looking for a Security QA Engineer to join our QA team here at Nimble Storage. This is a perfect position for someone who is passionate about Security and makes sure the product is not viable to any security threats.

The purpose of your job: Collect requirements, design test plan, create and execute test cases. Automate test cases using Python.
Day to day work will involve test plan documentation, bug reporting/isolation, writing test case automation and working closely with partner teams (development, product management, etc.) This position requires a self-driven individual with very strong technical and communication skills who can collaborate in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
· Test the overall security features efficiently.
· Determine and use security tools that help in finding new security issues.
· Define the areas of security testing like – penetrating testing, vulnerability scans, STIG testing
· Work in an Agile / SCRUM methodology to organize and execute projects.
· Collaborate with Development and QA Engineers to build efficient test plan and strategy
· Build and contribute to automation using Python
Preferred Security Expertise in:
· Passionate in the area of Cryptography – Encryption, Security, Key management, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), vulnerability scanners, application penetration testing
· Good Understanding of Encryption protocols and ciphers – AES256, AES128, CBC etc.
· Tools: Experience setting up and running Security tools like Retina, Nessus etc.
· Self-motivated who can deliver on tight schedules with minimal supervision
· A test-to-break approach to Quality Assurance to deliver high-quality products & features
Knowledge and Skills:
· 2-3 years of experience in security domain
· Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering; or equivalent work experience.
· Knowledge on Storage domain is highly desirable.
· Expertise in FIPS Certification, SSL, STIG testing, Penetration testing is a plus.
· Expert coding skills in Python or Perl is desired.
