Job Description:
The North American Sales Compensation/Commission Analyst will be primarily responsible for analysis & end to end administration of the Sales Incentive Compensation Plans for our North American sales organization. Strong attention to detail, communication and experience administering complex Incentive Plans. Strong soft skills are a must.
Candidate will be the focal point for all sales commission topics for the region. Successful candidate develops a strong relationship with sales and manages their space with timeliness, accuracy, tact, and is diligent such to head off any escalations to management. This role is highly visible and has the potential to drive positive changes within the commission organization. I am looking for someone who is driven and can quickly master this role, and is excited to continue learning, and take on projects.
Responsibilities:
· The Commissions Analyst for North America – Commercial segment, is responsible for the monthly calculation and accurate payment of incentive compensation for our field sales organization
· Administrating Sales Compensation Plan in commission system including individual plan and hierarchy set-up, territory mapping, adjustments, data validation, apply payments, prepare and track accepted individual sales compensation plans
· Works closely with Sales Operations and Human Resource to track changes in sales employee data for new hire, compensation changes and termination
· Administer draw, MBO, commission bonus, and SPIFF payouts
· Provide ongoing support and resolving commission calculation-related inquiries and exceptions with the sales teams
· Analyze and prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports that detail sales performance for sales leadership.
· Help streamline, automate, and improve end-to-end commission processes
· Provide world-class customer service to our Sales organization and internal customers
· Support ad hoc projects and report requests as needed
· Responsible for ensuring that all aspects of commission (for assigned sales area) are covered in a timely, accurate, and methodical fashion.
· Build a strong and trusting relationship with sales leadership where sales feels comfortable with your support. Having a trusting relationship goes a very long way!
· Coordinates with employees outside of the commission team when needed in support of your overall management of commissions and your sales coverage area.
· Communicates issues to stakeholders in a timely and concise fashion.
· Be a thought leader on overall commission improvements for management. Think of ways to make commission life easier and present well thought through ideas to management.
Education and Experience Required:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management or equivalent
· Typically 10+ years’ experience working in a high tech company
· 5+ years sales compensation administration experience
Knowledge and Skills:
· Excellent analytical, statistical and problem solving skills.
· Very detail oriented, strong business acumen, deadline focused.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
· Has previous experience creating metrics and dashboards tailored for senior management and C-staff.
· Has a proactive mentality on process improvements and issue resolutions. Help streamline, automate, and improve end-to-end commission processes
· Self-starter who requires minimum direction and/or supervision
· History of innovation with examples of developing new processes
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Mastery in English and local language.
· Ability to articulate and communicate well with sales and sales leadership. Soft skills very important with this role.
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills
· Able to work independently and take initiative
· Very detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
· Able to quickly adapt to new technologies and process changes
