Planning Superuser
Job Description:
The Planning Superuser is responsible for the accuracy of the configuration of the applications they support. Superuser takes all end user questions and deep dives to understand the issues. Where issues result in an IT issue the Superuser engages directly with IT to solve following through to closure while keeping the end user informed. Superusers can also engage in modelling activities where the business has asked for proof of concept for a change.
Job specifics/responsibilities:
· Maintaining the Servigistics (SPM) configuration
· Granting Business User access – Additions/Changes
· Maintenance of SPM Configuration – Segments, Parameters etc
· Creating weekly/monthly manual feed files to update SPM
· Supporting FAQ from Business Users
· Focal point between business users and IT on all issues with sufficient knowledge to categorize issues into one of three categories and drive to resolution through the appropriate channel:
· Bugs (break/fix), data accuracy issues, processing, performance, and infrastructure issues – involving IT Support
· Enhancement or missed specification – requiring a Change Request involving IT Development ability to document the requirement
· User problem unrelated to IT (training issues, data entry, validation, process failure, iDOC replay, etc.) – addressed internally within the business
· Work with IT to mitigate and help resolve IT issues affecting Planning. Ensure that root cause and preventative measures are defined and put in place.
· Provide effective and timely information to business users on problems, upgrades, changes, status of fixes. Hold regular meetings during periods of change or instability, as required.
· Focal point for escalations from SMEs. Translate all issues into quantified business impact represented in dollars or TCE impact. Drive and track escalation through appropriate IT point of contact, provide consistent status updates to the business and use good judgment to continue escalation up management chain as required.
· Partner with the Planning GTLs and SMEs to facilitate end-user input on recommendations for enhancements to current systems.
· Participates in process documentation and development sessions with the business team supporting all functions in PN SC.
· Manages the process documentation in accordance to the established guideline standards.
· Utilize standard methods, techniques, notations and best practices. Define the conceptual and contextual levels of detail within the process model
Requirements:
· First level university degree or equivalent experience
· Typically 2-4 years of experience in a planning function
· Fluent English skills
· Excellent written, ,verbal communication and presentation skills
· Knowledge of existing GSD SC and specifically Planning
· Understanding of current IT infrastructure supporting Planning preferred
· Strong Problem Solving/Root Cause Analysis skills
· Strong Process Mapping skills – Logical thinker
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cultures.
· Demonstrated ability to work escalations to tight timelines.
